What Does Foreclosure Entail? — April 2009
Mortgage foreclosure filings in January 2009—more than 274,000—were 18 percent higher than in January 2008. The FDIC estimates that an additional 4 to 5 million mortgages could enter foreclosure over the next two years. How did this happen, and what can be done to improve the situation?
