Summary:
The Agricultural Statistics Unit (ASU) conducts annual agricultural surveys and decennial censuses. The annual agricultural surveys component is specific to the agricultural sector, and aims at collecting data in order to establish trends in the agricultural production in the form of time series data, as well as basic information on crop production, livestock production and population. The data is collected in two sub-components namely the Traditional Sector and Commercial Sector surveys. ASU analyse the survey data and present them in its Annual Agricultural Survey Report. Some of the important time series data in tabular form are given below:
